What Wines You Like & Why You Like Them

The focus of this course is to teach each student how to identify and describe his or her individual palate and how to find wines that match. Students complete four (4) classes approximately every third week (see schedule on next page) of 2
1/2
hours. Each class or "Tasting Talk" is interactive and hands-on, meaning students taste and smell many different wines and appropriate foods. The best way to learn your taste is to practice! Students will experience approximately 30 different wine tasters of approximately 2 oz during this course.

Tasting Talk 1: Meet Your Palate!
Students will get personal with their tastebuds and olfactory sense by experimenting with many foods and scents characteristic of wine. You can't know what wine smells or tastes like if you don't know those flavors and aromas first!

Tasting Talk 2: Art of Wine Tasting/Science of Winemaking
Learn how to taste like the experts and what makes great grapes and wine!

Tasting Talk 3: White Wine Extravaganza!
Identify your white wine preferences. Discover the white wines you like best and how to identify others.

Tasting Talk 4: Red Wine Extravaganza!
Identify your red wine preferences. Discover the red wines you enjoy and how to communicate your taste.

$299

Classes are held at either WineTasteBuds downtown or South Congress classrooms (map and directions provided following sign-up).
