Sommelier 101
As the name suggests, this innovative class is for both experienced and new wine drinkers: "Sommelier" - for people looking to develop wine expertise; "101" for people looking for an introduction to wine! Our novel approach uses a crash course in sommelier training to teach wine to all levels of expertise. We teach serious wine tasting and wine tasting exercises to help students make new discoveries about personal taste! Students meet weekly over the course of four (4) weeks for 2 to 2
1/2
hours. Exercises include exposure to aromas and foods "found" in wine, wine classification and the aroma wheel, food pairings, and blind tastings and aroma testing. We are partnered with WineStyles, so we can pass along great discounts on wine as well as utilize their customer-friendly wine classification system!

What Wines You Like & Why You Like Them
The focus of this course is to teach each student how to identify and describe his or her individual palate and how to find wines that match. Students complete four (4) classes approximately every third week (see schedule on next page) of 2
1/2
hours. Each class or "Tasting Talk" is interactive and hands-on, meaning students taste and smell many different wines and appropriate foods. The best way to learn your taste is to practice! Students will experience approximately 30 different wine tasters of approximately 2 oz during this course.
