10 Most Memorable Wines of the Year

I found this a good article. In particular, I liked:
  • List's depth of varietal- should open some eyes to new things to try (i.e. Sicilian Reds).
  • A sparkler in the list! Always nice to remember the greatness of Champagne and its versatility.
  • Unheralded, and in some cases, discarded grapes of a particular region. I'm tired of Aligote getting trashed in Burgundy. It can be really nice.
  • The Loire is very underrated. If I had one bit of advice to offer to wine drinkers this holiday, it would be to drink Loire. There's just so many great options at $20. Stick organic and small producer if possible - you won't be disappointed
